Rock climbing enthusiasts are invited to take part in a Rock Climbing Day Trip to Clifton, Maine on Saturday, Nov. 8, sponsored by the Outdoor Adventure Program International (OAPI) of the University of Maine at Presque Isle. According to OAPI Director, Amanda Morin, this popular climbing area located just outside of Bangor, offers opportunities for climbers of all levels.
“You’ll find great cliffs for beginning climbers, but also more challenging routes for those who are into the sport,” says Morin.
No rock climbing experience is required. OAPI provides transportation, climbing equipment, and a certified instructor. Cost is $30 for students, $40 for non-students for this all-day trip which departs at 5:30 a.m. from the University and returns to Presque Isle at 10 p.m. Deadline to register is Nov. 5.
